Is the mask the new accessory?

Shoes, purse, sunglasses and mask. In most recent months this seems to be my check list before leaving the house. Due to the pandemic, the world has changed and wearing a mask is the new normal, well for the majority of us, it is.

When masks first started to be worn, I will admit I found it a bit weird. But slowly people just starting wearing them and now you see them everywhere. I have both friends and family sewing masks to help out front line workers and for other family and friends. Some wear medical masks, such as I do every day at work which, I am quickly getting use to. You know, it is not all that bad, since I never really liked my nose and now, no one can see it! LOL!

With time, I have noticed masks are getting very fancy. There are sports related masks, floral, holiday themed, as well as masks in all different colours that you can match with your outfit. Even the major designers are getting in the market for those who can afford a Chanel or a Gucci. For those of you who cannot, Etsy is always an alternative to finding some "designer" wear.

Who knows how long we will have to wear masks, but if we have to wear them we might as well look good in them. Like my collection of shoes, purses, watches I now have a nice collection building of fashionable masks and they keep me and others safe too!
