The perfect cup of coffee

Like some, when I get up in the morning, I make my way to the kitchen and automatically get the coffee ready for my morning boost. Most days coffee is just coffee, but have you ever had the perfect cup of coffee?

This morning as I opened the screen door I was greeted with cooler summer temperatures, after a few weeks of humidity. I decided then and there, I would be having my morning java on the front porch. As I sat there, the sun slightly shining on me, keeping me warm as I was still in my house coat. The breeze was blowing the leaves just so, that if you closed your eyes, you would think you were sitting by the water.

The neighbourhood was still pretty quiet due to the early hour, no kids playing in the street or in their back garden pools, nor was there any keen neighbours mowing their lawns. All I could hear was one lone dove cooing in the distance. I can honestly say it was a very peaceful and relaxing moment, despite the fact I am in a larger neighbourhood in the city.

Sometimes, when you time things just right, you can accomplish perfection, even a cup of morning coffee.
