Two sisters and a vineyard

As you can probably already guess, this is about wine, but not just any wine. A couple years ago, I had the pleasure of travelling to Niagara-on-the-Lake during March Break and stopped at a very impressive looking vineyard by the name of Two Sisters. Unfortunately it was March and not grape growing season, so my husband and I had a lovely dinner at the vineyard's dining room Kitchen 76.
As we drove up the main drive way, with vineyards on either side, we were impressed just be the architecture of the main building. If the weather had been a bit warmer, you would even say it felt a bit like being in Tuscany. The inside decor was just as impressive and inviting, so we had a pretty good feeling dinner would not disappoint. We started with their home made foccacia (CARBS!) and then debated the pizza made in house in their wood oven, but we went the route of pastas (more CARBS!)
Well when at a vineyard, one has to try what they are good at, the wine! I was lucky that they gave me a few samples such as the 2018 Unoaked Chardonnay and 2016 Eleventh Post Red. Do I really have to choose just one?! I went with the chardonnay but picked up a bottle of both the white and red to take home. Paired with the right meal, the wine was a fruity compliment to my rigatoni a la bolognese. Belissimo!
Since then, we have been back again and with present travel restrictions, I hope to make it back there sooner than later. I just read, they now have a Blush Rosé Collection! YUM!
To the two sisters (Marotta) I say grazie for your vineyard.
